About TDDUP

TDDUP stands for Till Death Do Us Part. It's a private vault for the things two people need to find together if one of them suddenly can't help locate them — accounts, policies, the will, who to call, what's owed and to whom.

Most of that information lives in one person's head, or scattered across emails, drawers and a password manager nobody else has access to. TDDUP is built around one simple idea: the access model itself should match how trust actually works between two people, not force everything into either "one person controls everything" or "everyone can see everything, always."

That's why there are three access modes. Single if it's just you. Delegated if either of you should be able to get in independently, no questions asked, because the realistic emergency is one of you being unavailable, not both of you needing to coordinate in real time. Dual if some things are sensitive enough that you genuinely want both of you involved before they're accessed — done asynchronously, so it works even if you're not in the same room, or the same country.

Everything sensitive is encrypted at the field level before it ever reaches storage, using AWS KMS. A dead-man's-switch can be armed to release information automatically if check-ins stop happening, with high-sensitivity items requiring an explicit confirmation step rather than releasing on a timer alone.
